Silvereye bird mask

This week is conservation week we'er learning about birds in New Zealand and look after and care about them. We are the silver eye group. The silver eye is native and she eats insects, fruit and nectar .We can call her silver eye or wax eye.She has white rings around her eyes some predators like rats, cats and stoats eat them.

Maori language week

This year we had maori week we learnt how to say things in Maori I liked saying makariri that  was cold.

counting up in 4s

I was learning to count up in 4s it was easy to count up in 4s we just have to count up in 4s because you can use your fingers to help.

Cross country race

On wednesday the year 2 and 3s  had cross country our class were nerves we were outside the library the year 2 s went first then the year 3 went but they went class buy class i felt sweaty. 

Apostrophe (') worksheet

I was learning to use apostrophe it was easy to put the  quotation marks in the right order.

WALA:prefixes in word

I was learning to use prefixes with un it was easy to use the 'un' word because on the prefix you just write 'un' and in the new word you write the 'un' word and the word in the base.

Synonyms and antonyms

I was learning to write a narrative story. I learnt how to do the resolution when it is solved. It was easy to do the resolution because they had to try something new.

WALT:use speech mark

I was tricky to put the speech mark in the right order and  move them.

maths: skip count by 2,5 and 10

I was learning  to count in 2s, 5s, and 10s. I know how to keep adding numbers on to find the answer .It was easy to count in 2s, 5s and 10s and put them in order.

Writing:explanation

CAKE
After the games it's time for the cake and someone bring the cake in. Then we put the candles on. Then next we light the fair. After that we turn the light off and sing happy birthday. Last the birthday person make a wish. Blows the candles and everyone eats.




I was learning to write an explanation about how something happens. I know to use my ideas from the plan. It was easy to think of ideas about each topic.

I was learning to summarise.I can put the ideas in order. I found this easy because I now how to a sandwich.

Baking ANZAC biscuits.

today was very cool. I was baking some biscuits.And they were ANZAC biscuits.And i get to sieve the flour.And we had lots of ingredients and it was fun.Then we ate it at lunch time

Reflection: Our class treaty relates to the EPS school values.  The 3 Rs are resilience, Respect and Responsibility.  We have agreed to follow these to help us learn this year.
